The winery Torraccia di Chiusi has a 6.5ha vineyard which is divided into three different areas:
The estate grows 10 grape varieties. Of these, 7 are red grape (Sangiovese, Merlot, Barsaglina, Alicante Bouschet, Colorino, Ancellotta, and Pinot Nero), and 3 are white grape (Verdicchio, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer)
The vineyard planting scheme is 2.5 x 0.8. The Pliocene soils, mostly sandy and silty, and generally rich in active limestone, are alkaline to sub-alkaline.
